On the last day of the X European Economic Congress in Katowice, in a session scheduled INDUSTRY meeting "The European steel industry under pressure." Range of topics will include:
- Steel production in Europe. Trends, prospects, global competition
- Protection of the European market solutions and their effectiveness
- Emissions are key there, too – this is what the future development of the steel industry will depend on, and this is what forces the utilisation of new technologies that are often not too cost-effective
- Industry 4.0 as a response to emissions, for it allows an increase in efficiency
- The availability of raw materials – this is the greatest challenge
