MONITORING (SCADA)

The project promotes the use of the Energy Monitoring Systems (EMS/SCADA) in SMEs in each country, as a tool for helping companies to establish systems and processes to improve their energy performance, including efficiency, consumption and savings.

The use of the energy monitoring system EMS/SCADA within SMEs will be promoted through the direct involvement of Energy Monitoring Systems providers (one implementation of an EMS/SCADA per country).
The results of the different implementation in each country will give practical results from companies in developing and implementing EMS, and provide information on how to deal with difficulties encountered.

The aspects that will be part of monitoring process on energy consumption are:

• Examination of significant areas of energy use.
• Update energy performance indicators.
• Review the effectiveness of action plan.
• Comparison of current and expected energy consumption.
